 The Bean Stop is committed to delivering a high-quality coffee experience to our customers through knowledgeable and friendly service, in a warm, inclusive and inviting atmosphere. Being a barista, at its core, is about offering a great product and excellent customer service and that is what we strive for here. We have built a community with our friendly attitude and genuine care for our customers. Our coffee is a locally, small batch roasted organic green bean from Peru. Originally, we roasted in stands but once we gained a larger demand, we had to move off site to Skagit County to keep up. One of our recent focuses is to offer unique coffee and energy drinks. We want customers to receive a drink that makes them want to take a picture, share it on socials or tell someone else about their high quality, unique drink they got from one of our stands. 

The Bean Stop was founded in 2008 by Christy and Richie Ford at our East Maple Street location. They worked tirelessly to establish a high quality, friendly coffee stand that stood apart from the sea of coffee stands in Whatcom County. In 2010, they opened their second location in the Birchwood neighborhood. The current owner, Liz, was hired in 2015 and worked at the Birchwood location until purchasing The Bean Stop in 2024 with her husband, David. They are excited to continue providing an organic, locally roasted coffee, fun innovative drinks and a warm, friendly environment for all.
